Who Are We?

We are the Caruthersville Humane Society d.b.a. Pemiscot County Animal Welfare Society, and we are located in Hayti, Mo.

We are an animal shelter, founded in 1979, and now operate independently of any other organization or municipality.

Our Goals

We put people and pets together!
Dr. Thomas Gall ..

...without him we would not be able to treat and rehabilitate the number of animals that we do.

Dr. Gall keeps our vet bills affordable, supports our spay and neuter program, and is one of the most compassionate souls you will ever meet.

We highly recommend Dr. Gall and you can find him too at 1419 E Moultrie Dr, Blytheville, AR 72315  (870) 762-5781
Our mission

Our mission is simple.

We're here to shelter and find good homes for animals that are surrendered or found abandoned and homeless.

We work on the principal that every animal deserves a good home and strive to make that happen.

Friends

There is a wonderful bunch of people who formed a support group while we were in our temporary shelter last year.

Their name is "Friends" of CHS and they have been outstanding support for us here at CHS-PAWS.

You can join them or check them out on Facebook by clicking on their banner.
Our Special Thanks to ....

We strive daily to help educate the public on the importance of spay and neutering in order to reduce stray and abandoned pet populations. We work constantly to find new ways to find good homes for the unwanted pets of our area. We are always looking for new ways to help support our shelter through donations and fundraising.
